About me
I'm Andrew Malique, a freelance 2D artist and comic illustrator, working professionally since 2019. I earned my BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
As an artist, I'm driven by the challenge of creating characters and designs that tell compelling stories and leave a lasting impression. My influences are rooted in the bold, expressive style of Capcom’s 90s-era character design and the aesthetics of other classic fighting game franchises and role-playing games.
Whether I'm illustrating comics or designing characters, I aim to create designs that are unique and grounded in their respective worlds. I'm especially interested in studio environments where I can collaborate with other creatives, and bring compelling worlds and characters to life. I thrive in team settings that value clear communication, shared vision, and a strong sense of style.
I'm proficient in multiple design programs (Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, etc.), and I'm always looking to expand my workflow to meet the needs of each project. I'm currently open to full-time or contract opportunities in concept art, character design, or comic illustration.
